Meet our newest Intern, Robert Luke!
What brought you to Nourish?
I was lucky enough to get into contact with Mary Drennen earlier this year. When I first talked with Mary, I did not expect an offer for a summer internship. However, I was very excited by this opportunity because I knew that I would be working with wonderful people and learning a lot along the way.
What do you do at Nourish?
I am currently working on the new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. This system will then handle both small and large-scale logistics that are important to an expanding business, like Nourish, who have many moving parts and a broad customer base. Hopefully, this program will help simplify and streamline production.
What is your favorite part about working at Nourish?
Learning about how a small business runs is very rewarding and enjoyable. While you can learn a lot in a classroom, real world experience is more hands on. The food is also outstanding, and I'm having fun meeting people at Nourish and talking to them.
Where are you in school? What are you studying?
I'm currently a rising sophomore at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. I am studying Business Administration and might pursue a double major in the near future.
What do you see yourself doing in the future?
Truthfully, I'm still trying to figure this out. I hope to remain in the Southeast and work for some kind of business. Ideally, a job that involves something outside and with people.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy fishing, hiking, music and hanging out with friends.
